This partnership recognizes the vital role that blood products play in the treatment and survival of children with cancer. Kids Cancer Care staff give blood on September 10.

Kindle Pursuit

On Saturday, September 7, Kids Cancer Care will hold its second annual Kindle Pursuit, the province's largest outdoor obstacle race that raises money for children with cancer. The event takes place at Kids Cancer Care’s Camp Kindle in Water Valley, Alberta from 10 am to 2 pm.

CureFest Edmonton

On Saturday, September 14, CureFest Canada will bring together local children’s cancer charities, the general public, the medical community and elected officials for an awareness event at the William Hawrelak Park in Edmonton from 2 PM to 4 PM. Their shared goal is to raise awareness and make childhood cancer research a national priority.

CureFest Calgary

St. Patrick's Island

On Sunday, September 22, CureFest Canada comes together again. This time in Calgary. CureFest brings together local children’s cancer charities, the general public, the medical community and elected officials for a day-long awareness festival at Confluence Plaza on St. Patrick’s Island from 11 AM to 2 PM. Their shared goal is to raise awareness and make childhood cancer research a national priority.

The park is accessed from the East Village, the Bridgeland/Memorial LRT Station, or by the zoo parking lot.

Free event for all, lots of fun activities, music & entertainment, guest speakers, childhood cancer related foundations with information booths.

There will be barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers available by donation, complimenting food trucks or BYO (bring your own) picnic!

Time to Remember

Please join us as we dedicate time during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to remember the children who have lost their lives to cancer. Enjoy coffee and snacks, while visiting with other families and making a special craft. The evening also features a slideshow honouring the children we’ve lost, followed by a lantern walk. All are welcome.
