The Graceful Arts introduces children aged three
to 12 to the wonderful world of art. Exposing on-
and off-treatment families to a range of artistic
forms—from arts and crafts to music, theatre and
dance—the Graceful Arts program helps kids discover
the pleasure and healing potential of creative
expression. Experienced art instructors, music
therapists, dance teachers and performers make each
Graceful Arts outing a unique experience. Field
trips to local arts groups such as the Calgary
Philharmonic, Theatre Calgary and fun with music
therapy are some of the program highlights.

KCCFA Teen Nights offer young people social,
recreational and leadership development
opportunities. It’s a great way for teen campers to
stay connected throughout the year. All that’s
needed is a sense of humour and fun.
Teen Leadership
Program
Our Teen Leadership Program runs September through
May each year and offers teens a chance to give back
to their community by helping those in need. Teens
are responsible for designing and overseeing key
projects throughout the year, including helping out
at Kids Cancer Care programs, soup kitchens and
other community events such as the Calgary Marathon.
The leadership program culminates in a
trip to
Mexico,
where teens help low-income families build a home.
Responsible for raising their own money for airfare,
meals and accommodation, participants develop
important leadership skills, while expanding their
sense of social responsibility and developing a
philanthropic spirit. To pledge a teen leader for
the Mexico Home Build or to learn more about this
initiative, click here.
