ways to give
There are so many ways to give to KCC kids and
families. Have a look below to see how many ways there are.
Monthly Gift
Help fund the next wave of cancer research by joining our
monthly giving club. Our monthly giving program is
convenient and, over time, will amount to a significant gift
and a significant difference in a child’s life. Monthly
giving helps Kids Cancer Care reduce administration costs and enables
long-range planning. You may choose to make monthly
donations through your bank account or through your credit
card. Click
here to enrol in our monthly giving club today.
Simply print & complete the monthly giving donation form and
forward to our office by fax or mail.
One-time Gift
A one-time gift, whether big or small, can have a lasting
impact on a child or family struggling with childhood
cancer. And it allows you to give at your convenience. Make a
one-time gift
online today or complete a
printable donation form
located on the right and fax or mail it to our office.
Tribute Gift
A tribute gift is a fitting way to honour someone special in
memoriam or to celebrate a special occasion of a loved
one—be it a graduation, birthday, retirement, Christmas or
bar mitzvah. KCCFA tribute gift is:
|
→ |
a meaningful gift for anyone who
cares about children |
|
→ |
a way to remember someone
special and convey your sympathies to their family |
|
→ |
a unique gift for that someone who has everything |
|
→ |
a thoughtful (and tax deductible) contribution that will help create futures for children with cancer |
When you make a gift in tribute,
we’ll send a card on your behalf to the person you’re
honouring or their family, acknowledging your thoughtful
gift.
Make a tribute gift today by clicking

Donation form and fax or mail it to our office.
Leave a Legacy
Imagine... long after you’re gone... a cure for childhood
cancer.
By leaving a legacy gift to KCCFA you could create a
philanthropic legacy that affects thousands of children for
years to come—an impact that perhaps only your great, great
grandchildren will see. A legacy gift, or planned giving,
enables you to match your philanthropic aims with your
personal goals to provide for your loved ones. Whether you
choose to leave a legacy through a bequest in your will, a
gift of securities or through life insurance, your gift will
help children across the globe. And the beauty of planned
giving is that there are often tax benefits for your loved
ones. Remember, a common misconception about planned giving
is that only the wealthy can do it. But anyone can plan to
leave a legacy regardless of their current income or assets.

Calgary or speak to your financial advisor.
Gift in Kind
A gift in-kind is a donation of tangible property instead of
cash. Gifts of property such as works of art, antiques,
jewellery, stamp or coin collections, or even mortgages
enable you to make a much larger contribution than you might
otherwise be able to make from your income. And you may be
eligible for a charitable tax receipt for your gift. To make
a gift-in-kind to KCCFA, contact our office at
403.216.9210, ext. 227 or
email
us.
Gift of Securities
Federal tax incentives introduced in 1997 make donating
publicly listed securities an attractive tax option for
Canadian donors. When donating publicly listed securities
such as equities, bonds, futures or mutual funds to a
charity, you will not be taxed on the capital gains from
that investment. Providing a gift of securities is a
creative way to help children with cancer, while enjoying
sizeable tax benefits. Transferring securities is easy. You
may transfer the
securities electronically or deliver
endorsed certificates directly to the KCCFA office. To
initiate a transfer of securities to Kids Cancer Care, click
here to print and complete a securities transfer form, authorizing your broker to release
certificates to the Foundation. Our financial institution
will then process the transfer.
Options for Making a Gift of Securities
|

Electronic Transfer of Securities
Transferring securities electronically from your brokerage
account to Kids Cancer Care's account is perhaps the easiest way to
make a gift of securities. There is no need to
transfer the actual certificates. Simply instruct
your broker to make an electronic transfer by
completing a securities transfer form. The fair
market value is based on the closing price on the
day the securities are transferred and you will
receive a tax receipt for this value. |
|
→ |
Endorse Security Certificates
With this option, you simply endorse the security
certificates to Kids Cancer Care and have the endorsed certificates
hand delivered by registered mail or courier to our office.
The fair market value is determined on the date the
certificates are received by our office and a tax receipt
will be issued for the value of the closing price on the day
of transfer. The certificates and the securities transfer
form must be mailed separately. |
