Rent
Camp Kindle is owned and operated by the Kids Cancer
Care Foundation of Alberta (KCCFA). In addition to
providing amazing camp experiences for children and
their families affected by childhood cancer, KCCFA
rents Camp Kindle to user-groups in the community.
The camp is located in the Foothills just outside
Water Valley—about 80 kilometers northwest of
Calgary and 280
kilometers south of
Edmonton.
Nestled in the Rocky Mountain Forest Reserve on 160
acres of rolling pasture and dense forest, Camp
Kindle is perfect for school groups, band and choir
groups, leadership programs or corporate retreats.
Camp Kindle features a fully equipped commercial
kitchen,
bunkhouses,
staff and
volunteer residences,
a
music hall,
craft cottage,
rustic get-away
cabin,
campfire pit,
barn and stables.
It also features a natural amphitheatre, fire pit,
soccer field, baseball diamond, a pond for canoeing
and ice skating and miles of hiking and x-country
ski trails.
Camp Kindle comes fully staffed with a fulltime camp
manager, a maintenance manager, kitchen and seasonal
program staff. The Kids Cancer Care Foundation has a
20-year history of providing safe, quality camp
experiences for Alberta children with cancer and our
professionally
trained staff look
forward to working with you to create a customized
visit programs
that meets the goals and
program needs of
your team. A low
guest-to-staff ratio
(maximum 10:1) makes for positive experiences for
all.
Whether your goal is to foster leadership or
teamwork within your group, cultivate environmental
awareness or simply enjoy the great outdoors with
your team, Camp Kindle is an ideal setting. Our
professional staff looks after all the logistics, so
you and your team are free to enjoy a productive,
stress-free retreat in the Foothills.
KCCFA staff is on-hand to supervise and lead your
group through activities, but your group must
provide at least one adult chaperone for every 10
participants to help with discipline or small
emergencies.
