Professional Development
Childhood cancer is best studied through
collaboration between cancer professionals
worldwide. KCCFA is helping build a strong oncology
program at the Alberta Children’s Hospital by
helping doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers
and psychologists attend meetings and conferences.
It is here, that cancer professionals exchange
ideas, share successes and failures and plan new
avenues of treatment for children. These
professional development opportunities ensures that
our health care practitioners bring home the best
treatments and practices to Alberta children. In
2006/07, KCCFA helped 15 cancer professionals go to
conferences across North America. |
