As founder and CEO of the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, Christine McIver is responsible for the leadership and management of the Foundation. Beginning this work in the basement of her home in 1988, Christine has devoted her volunteer and working life to children's cancer programs. More

Director of Development & Communications

Working with KCCFA staff and volunteers, Trish Matheson is responsible for managing the fundraising and communication of the Foundation. Her focus is building relationships with the people and organizations that support KCCFA

Mike MacKay,
Director of Camp & Community
Mike MacKay is responsible for KCCFA’s Camp & Community programs. He works with a team of committed staff and volunteers to provide support to families affected by childhood cancer.

Janessa DeCoste, Nursing Coordinator
Janessa first became involved with KCCFA as a nursing volunteer and is excited to take on the role of nursing coordinator at KCCFA's Camp Kindle. Janessa brings years of nursing and camp experience to her role. For the last seven years she has worked at summer camps for children and adults who thrive in a specialized camp setting. More

Jillian Edmonds,
Event Coordinator
Jillian Edmonds is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating KCCFA’s fundraising events, including the Dad & Daughter Gala, the Parents’ Quest for the Cure gala and the Ride for a Lifetime.

Event Coordinator

Katherine first joined KCCFA in 2009 as a camp coordinator for our Camp & Community programs. She has since taken her considerable organizational skills and her creative flair to our Fundraising & Communications team, where she oversees the Shave Your Lid for a Kid® campaign and the annual Don & Joanne Golf a Kid to Camp tournament.

Ashlee Guise is responsible for enhancing community partnerships, which raise funds for KCCFA. Central to her position is the coordination of the Tour for Kids Alberta cycling event in July, which raises to send kids to camp. More

Janice McLeod brings more than 20 years of administrative and customer service experience to KCCFA. She oversees the administrative and business operations of KCCFA, including database management, processing tax receipts and bank deposits and managing office volunteers.

Camp Program Manager
Jordan Miller is KCCFA’s camp program manager. He is responsible for overseeing the programs and operations at Camp Kindle. Jordan oversees the rentals and visits of all outside user-groups as well as the programs and activities of our SunMaker and SunRise camps and our year-round family and teen camps. More
